The short answer
ASPiH Conference 2026 comes to Harrogate Convention Centre from 25 to 27 November 2026, so the easiest plan is to stay in central Harrogate and walk to every session and social event. For a three-day conference, a serviced apartment or townhouse gives you room to prepare, a kitchen for early breakfasts and space to share with colleagues. Book your stay alongside your registration, as late November is a lively time in town.
ASPiH Conference 2026 at a glance
The Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare brings one of Europe's leading simulation events to the Main Auditorium at Harrogate Convention Centre, Kings Road, HG1 5LA. Wednesday 25 November is the pre-conference workshop day, including the ASPiH X-perience, and the main conference and exhibition run on Thursday and Friday. Full details and the programme are on the official ASPiH 2026 website.
Daily timings
- Wednesday 25 November – workshops, followed by the X-perience reception from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, free for delegates who attended the X-perience workshops.
- Thursday 26 November – registration opens at 8.00am, with the welcome at 8.45am. The networking drinks reception runs from 5.30pm to 7.00pm in the exhibition halls.
- Friday 27 November – registration opens at 8.00am and the day’s welcome is at 9.15am. The exhibition closes at 3.00pm, and the awards and closing remarks run from 4.00pm to 4.30pm.
That relaxed Friday finish leaves time for a final dinner in town, or an easy evening train home.
Registration and fees
Standard rates have applied since 1 September. For ASPiH members, the full conference costs from £350 for students, technical and support roles up to £700 for physicians, including VAT, with one-day rates also available. Non-member full conference rates run from £430 to £850. Membership brings lower fees, so it is worth checking before you book.
The SimSoirée and evenings out
The highlight of the social programme is the SimSoirée on Thursday 26 November, from 8.00pm to 11.00pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic. Tickets cost £65 and include a hot fork buffet, a welcome drink and live music, with a “Touch of Sparkle” dress code. They are available to registered delegates plus one guest. On the other nights, good restaurants and pubs are a few minutes’ walk away; see our guide to where to eat in Harrogate for our favourites.
Getting to Harrogate
- By train – Harrogate station is about a seven-minute walk from the venue, and LNER runs four direct trains a day from London King’s Cross, taking around 2 hours 46 minutes. Our guide to arriving by train helps you get your bearings.
- By air – Leeds Bradford Airport is about 12 miles away, roughly 20 minutes by car, and the hourly A2 bus takes around 31 minutes.
- By car – use HG1 2HR for the Convention Centre car park.
Where to stay for ASPiH Conference 2026
Anywhere in central Harrogate keeps you within walking distance of Kings Road, the Majestic and the town’s restaurants. Our guide to Harrogate Convention Centre accommodation compares the best areas. For a team from the same trust or university, one larger home is often more sociable and better value than several hotel rooms, with a living room for a quick run-through of your poster or workshop. Exhibitors arriving early to set up will appreciate a kitchen and a comfortable base for the whole week.
Making time to recharge
Three days of keynotes, workshops and posters are rewarding, and a short break makes them even better. A walk across the Stray or an evening at the Turkish Baths is the perfect reset before the next early start.
