The short answer
Harrogate Nursery Fair 2026 opens on Sunday 18 October at Harrogate Convention Centre, so a few days is plenty of time to plan a smooth visit. Register online, pick your appointments from the exhibitor list and book somewhere central, so you can walk to the halls each morning. For a team or a three-day stay, a serviced apartment or townhouse gives you more space than a hotel room, plus a proper kitchen.
The Harrogate Nursery Fair is the UK's dedicated nursery trade show, covering products for children from birth to four, including pre-school toys and gifts. This guide covers the practical side: dates and times, registering, getting here, where to stay and how to make the most of your evenings in town. If you're reading this the week before the show, the good news is that Harrogate is compact and easy, and everything below can be sorted in an afternoon.
Harrogate Nursery Fair dates and opening times
The fair runs from Sunday 18 to Tuesday 20 October 2026 in the Exhibition Halls at Harrogate Convention Centre, Kings Road (HG1 5LA). The organiser lists the following hours:
- Sunday 18 October – 9.30am to 5.30pm
- Monday 19 October – 9.30am to 5.30pm
- Tuesday 20 October – 9.30am to 4pm
At the end of the first day, the organiser's after-show networking takes place in Hall M, which has extended opening until 8pm. It's a relaxed way to catch up with suppliers and fellow buyers, and dinner in town is then only a short walk away.
Registering and planning your days
The fair is open to members of the trade and associated press, and you register to visit through the organiser's website, nurseryfair.com. The same site has the exhibitor list, a list of new exhibitors and the hall plans for lining up appointments in advance. Hall C is home to the New Brands Zone and the BPIA Pavilion, and it's well worth a slot in your diary if you're looking for fresh ranges. The Convention Centre takes card and contactless payments, so a bank card or phone is all you need for coffee and lunch on the day.
Getting here
- By train – Harrogate station is about a seven-minute walk from the venue. LNER runs four direct trains a day from London King's Cross, taking around 2 hours 46 minutes. Our guide to arriving by train helps you get your bearings.
- By air – Leeds Bradford Airport is about 12 miles away, roughly 20 minutes by car. The A2 bus runs hourly and takes around 31 minutes.
- By car – use HG1 2HR for the Convention Centre car park, or simply walk in from a central stay.
Where to stay for Harrogate Nursery Fair
The easiest place to stay is central Harrogate, within walking distance of Kings Road, so you can leave the car parked and stroll to the halls each morning. The streets around Montpellier, Valley Gardens and the town centre are especially handy for evening dinners, and our guide to choosing the right neighbourhood in Harrogate compares the areas. All three areas are within easy walking distance of the Convention Centre.
For a three-day show, a serviced apartment or townhouse works beautifully. One home can sleep several colleagues, with a shared living room for planning the next day's appointments and a kitchen for an early breakfast before the doors open. As the show is only days away, the quickest route is to check live availability on our properties page and book straight away. Our Convention Centre accommodation guide has more on staying near the venue.
Evenings in Harrogate
Good restaurants and pubs are a few minutes' walk from the Convention Centre, so taking clients out is easy.
