Lucy Beaumont: Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos
Lucy Beaumont brings her stand-up tour Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos to Harrogate's Royal Hall on Friday 12 February 2027, starting at 8pm. Recommended for ages 14 and over.
What the show is
Lucy Beaumont is a stand-up comedian, actress and writer. She is known for Taskmaster and for her award-winning sitcom. Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos is her second national tour. The show draws on her recent television appearances, including The Wheel, Mastermind, Celebrity Traitors and The Great British Sewing Bee. It is a ticketed comedy night for the general public, and Harrogate Theatre is the promoter for this date.
Date, time and tickets
The show is at the Royal Hall on Friday 12 February 2027 and starts at 8:00pm. A doors time has not been published, so check your ticket nearer the date. Tickets currently range from £26.50 to £53.00. The top price is for a box that seats two, and boxes may have a restricted view. The theatre recommends the show for ages 14 and over, and under-16s must be accompanied. Book through Harrogate Theatre, either online or on 01423 502116. The box office is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Wheelchair and companion bookings are made by phone. The Royal Hall and Convention Centre take card and contactless payments only, so leave the cash at home.
For visitors
Lucy plays Leeds City Varieties the night before, so some fans will be making a weekend of it. A Friday-night show suits an overnight stay. You can eat beforehand, enjoy the comedy and walk back without worrying about the last train or a late drive. Our serviced apartments and townhouses are across central Harrogate, many a short walk from the Convention Centre and the Royal Hall. They suit couples and groups of friends who would rather have a kitchen and some space than a single hotel room.
Getting there
Harrogate station is about a 10-minute walk from the Convention Centre. LNER runs direct trains to London King's Cross roughly hourly, and Leeds is about 35 minutes away. Leeds Bradford Airport is about 30 minutes by taxi. If you are driving, the Convention Centre says there are over 1,200 parking spaces in the centre of town. Winter evenings are cold, so check the walking route from your accommodation to the Royal Hall before you go.
Book early
Tickets for the previous night's Leeds show were already described as almost sold out on Lucy's website. Friday nights in February are also popular for short breaks in Harrogate. If you plan to stay, it is sensible to secure your dates once your tickets are confirmed.
After the show
The show starts at 8pm, so plan dinner before it. Harrogate has plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, and many are busy on a Friday, so book a table. If you are staying the weekend, the Turkish Baths are a good way to spend Saturday morning. We are happy to help with check-in times if you are coming straight from the station or the car park.
