What Harrogate Christmas & Gift is and who goes

Harrogate Christmas & Gift is an annual trade show in the Exhibition Halls at Harrogate Convention Centre. It covers Christmas and festive ranges, Halloween products, food gifts, and home and garden lines. The organisers list over 90 exhibitors. Buyers include independent retailers, garden centres, department stores, mail order buyers, promotion agencies and wholesale or volume buyers. Earlier organiser material put the total, exhibitors and visitors together, at over 4,000 people.

Dates and opening times

The 2027 show runs from Sunday 10 to Wednesday 13 January. The organiser's published hours are 9am to 6pm from Sunday to Tuesday, and 9am to 4pm on Wednesday. The venue is Harrogate Convention Centre, King's Road, HG1 5LA. The venue accepts card and contactless payments only, so bring a card rather than cash.

Exhibitors staying all week

Four show days, plus build time beforehand, mean most exhibitors need a base for several nights. The organiser's manual says deliveries can be received from Monday 4 January 2027, between 9am and 5pm. Our apartments and townhouses have kitchens and space to spread out. That helps if you are packing samples, taking calls or cooking after a long day on the stand. Several of our properties are a short walk from the Convention Centre and the Royal Hall. Stays of a week or more are easy to arrange.

For visitors

This is a trade-only event, open to members of the trade and associated press. Visitors register in advance through the organiser's website. The show is not open to the public, so please do not turn up as a consumer. The website has an exhibitor and product search, so you can plan which stands to see before you arrive. Buyers coming for one or two days often find a self-catering apartment more comfortable than a hotel room. It also suits colleagues sharing a stay.

Getting there

Harrogate station is about a 10-minute walk from the Convention Centre. LNER runs direct trains to London King's Cross roughly hourly. Leeds is about 35 minutes by rail. Leeds Bradford Airport is about 30 minutes away by taxi. If you drive, the organiser lists car parks on its website. Walking between the town centre and the halls is straightforward.

Book early

The organiser's own accommodation page warns that availability tightens as the show approaches. January also overlaps with other events in town, so central rooms go quickly. If you want a specific apartment or townhouse for 10 to 13 January, it is sensible to ask us soon.

After the show

Harrogate has plenty of choice for dinner within walking distance of the halls. There are also bars for a quiet drink with a supplier or customer. For a change of pace, the Turkish Baths are a good way to unwind after a day on your feet. The organisers have held an after-show party in the Royal Hall on the Monday in past years. Details for 2027 were not yet published when we checked. We would be glad to look after you during your stay.
