What it is and who goes

Giovanni: Unstoppable is a touring dance show led by Giovanni Pernice, the Strictly Come Dancing champion and BAFTA winner. He appears with professional dancers and West End performers. The tour is produced by Strictly Theatre Co, and the Harrogate date is ticketed through Harrogate Theatre. It is a public theatre night, so expect Strictly fans, groups of friends and couples making a weekend of it.

Dates and times

There is one performance in Harrogate, at the Royal Hall on Friday 2 April 2027. The show starts at 7.30pm. The tour's own site gives a running time of about two hours including an interval, and says the show may use haze, smoke, pyrotechnics and flashing lights. A doors time has not been published, so check your ticket nearer the date.

VIP Meet and Greet ticket holders have a pre-show session with Giovanni starting at 5.15pm. They should arrive 15 minutes early, as latecomers may not be admitted. The VIP package includes a signed print, a lanyard, and photo and autograph opportunities.

For visitors

Harrogate Theatre lists tickets at £37 to £140. The top price is the VIP package, and the next price up is a box for two, which may have a restricted view. Harrogate Theatre recommends the show for ages 14 and over, and says under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The tour's own site gives a lower age recommendation of 8+, so check with the box office if you plan to bring younger children. The Royal Hall accepts card and contactless payments only. For wheelchair and companion bookings, call the box office on 01423 502116.

Getting there

The Royal Hall is beside Harrogate Convention Centre on Ripon Road, in the middle of town. Harrogate station is about a 10-minute walk from the Convention Centre. LNER runs direct trains to London King's Cross roughly hourly, and Leeds is about 35 minutes away by train. Leeds Bradford Airport is about 30 minutes by taxi. The convention centre's car parks hold over 1,200 spaces, but a Friday evening can be busy, so leave extra time if you are driving.

Book early

Boxes and VIP places are limited, and a one-night-only date tends to sell out in the better seats first. Book through Harrogate Theatre on 01423 502116, which is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. If you are travelling in from elsewhere, it is sensible to sort your accommodation at the same time.

Staying with us

Short Stay Harrogate is a family-run company with serviced apartments and townhouses across central Harrogate, many a short walk from the Royal Hall. A self-contained place with a kitchen suits a group travelling together or anyone who wants a relaxed evening before the show. You can walk back afterwards, with no taxi to find.

After the show

Harrogate has plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the Royal Hall, so a late table after the curtain comes down is usually possible if you book ahead. If you are staying the weekend, the Turkish Baths on Parliament Street are a good way to start Saturday morning. Parks and the town's cafés make for an easy day before heading home.
